Why Tembo?

Tembo Grill is a Kenyan, African catering cuisine formerly known as Acacia Grill. The word Tembo is a Swahili word meaning an Elephant. Elephants are the largest land animals on Earth. These animals are distinguished by their long trunk which they use to obtain food, drink, and even breathe! The long trunk is the reason why an elephant is called TEMBO. A Tembo uses much of its time eating and chewing. We at TEMBO GRILL have migrated the Kenyan tastes to US aiming to having our customers chew and eat the indigenous delicious African meals.
